The First Metal Wraith Worldwide

I am Azgirath. The First Metal Wraith Worldwide. This project started on the streets (2021) with my artist name (Azgirath), and Metal was the main inspiration behind this. Later I also added a title for myself to make it memorable for the Scene. The Metal Statue was the old title that I had for the street performance, today it's a dark performance art with a different name which is only seen in the Metal Scene. In 2023 this project finally moved into the Scene and was no longer seen in public. From the Street to the Concert Stage. From a Statue into a Wraith. A Silent Guardian. The Metal Wraith.

From the Street to Concert Stage

Everything started on the streets through inspiration and passion. Over 40 Cities I've performed and was stopped many times by the police. Only a few were able to see this performance in public and now it's seen in the Metal Scene. And nowhere else. The reason why I performed in public in the first place was because to get the full experience in art and finally coming into the Metal Scene in a very unusual way. Entering this role meant facing uncertainty, resistance, and personal struggle. Now it places me not only as a performer, but as a symbol, standing for freedom and expression. This Performance (Wraith Metal or Silent Metal) means pain and not being comfortable. Through discipline and courage, I've found my own path, my own story, my own stage.

Performance of Silence, Time and Death (Honoring Black- and Extreme Metal)

The truth is, I'm not a musician and I don't want to be. I'm Performer and it's my way to honor Extreme Metal through endurance and presence. As non-musician, I want to show my respect for the Scene and all the Pioneers of Black- and Extreme Metal. They are the reason how I've found this project. It's the hardest performance that I've ever done but that's the point. If you really want to grow, you must experience pain. Pain is powerful because it's natural.
